L-Glutamine is a white rhombic system crystal or crystalline powder, odorless and non-toxic, light sweet smelling. Its melting point is 185~186℃(break up), specific rotation(C=10.2£¬1NHCl). The crystalline phase is stable, unstable in acid, alkali and hot water. It will be hydrolysed to L-Glutamic Acid. L-Glutamine is soluble in water£¨4.25g/100ml£¬25℃£©, hardly soluble in ethanol, ether, etc.
